Step 2

CONTAINMENT & ISOLATION

It's imperative to contain and isolate the area affected by mold. Our team seals off the area using plastic sheeting and air filtration devices to prevent cross contaminating mold spores to other areas of the house. We employ air filtration systems to remove spores from the air and keep them from spreading through negative pressure containment.

Step 3

MOLD REMOVAL & CLEANING

Once the mold is contained and the area is isolated, our skilled technicians will carry out the protocol! Mold removal usually includes disposing of mold ridden, porous building materials such as drywall, insulation, trim, cabinets, and flooring. The goal is to remove materials that cannot restored to expose impacted substrates, then complete the remediation through cleaning and disinfecting to eliminate the previously discovered mold spores.

DEHUMIDIFICATION & DRYING

Once all of the mold is removed, our teams dehumidify the space. Dehumidifiers don't kill mold, but they are designed to remove excess moisture (humidity) and dampness from the air—which certain mold spores needs to survive.

SANITIZATION & DISINFECTION

Sanitation is critical to preventing mold from coming back! Our team utilizes specialized mold cleaners and strong sanitizers, coupled with advanced disinfection methods, to thoroughly cleanse the affected area. RESTORATION & REPAIRS

After containment, cleaning, and disinfection, Oasis Restoration will replace drywall, flooring, and other materials in the affected rooms. Mold-resistant materials may be used to prevent re-growth, and new ventilation/dehumidification systems may be installed.
